The biggest decision when it comes to orange bedroom ideas is “how much orange?”. This comes down to personal taste. A bedroom with all the walls covered in orange, as seen in pictures (1) and (2) can feel just right for some people and overwhelming for others. A step down from that is to just paint the one wall that is up against the headboard orange while the rest of the walls in the bedroom are painted a more neutral color like white (3) (4) (5). This one orange wall will create a great focal point in the room. A step down from that is to keep the walls and decor in the room neutral, very simple and color coordinated and add in splashes of orange – which will really pop out (6) (7).
You don’t really need to have many orange pieces in the bedroom to create an orange styled color scheme. Just check out pictures (8) (9), and the teal and orange bedroom in picture (10). One or two orange accessories like pillows, a bed sheet, a wall painting, or plants – is all that is needed.
Just one last design note on painting the walls orange. You can go the simple route by painting the wall(s) in a single orange color, or there are easy ways of creating a more textured look as seen in picture (11) – simply by using household items like a sponge or a dry brush.
